The Defense to my Passion
Throughout your life your dream profession comes in phases. When you’re small you like to color so you say “Daddy I’m going to be an artist”, or if you like to sing “mommy I’m going to be a famous singer”. Then you become older and you put your career in bigger perspectives. “Dad I’m going to be a doctor” or “mom I want to become a lawyer”. You even go through a phase where you consider letting your parents recommend what your career should be. As you sit and think about the path your going down your soon realize that these things are not what you really want do and a new question forms “What do I want to do with my life?” And my answer to that is what do you have a passion and love for? That was my predicament a year ago as I founded my new love Profession fashion Journalism. Writing has never just been a hobby of mine it was more of a part of me as a limb or an organ, the love could never be detached or a piece of me went missing. Fashion just comes along with the exciting and amazing lifestyle I want to live. It’s hard to hear someone discourage something you love to do especially when the person needs this source just as much as you do.
Let’s be honest, Fashion is something that The World needs not just the people who make it , take pictures of it and write about it. Fashion Journalism is way more then writing about clothes, an outfit can say 10x more words then me writing an article can. For example, you’re at a job interview and a man come in with a nice suit well kept hair and shiny dress shoes. That says to the employer “he dresses well I’m interested to hear more about him”. Now take a man with ripped baggy jeans, dirt all over them and a ripped college tee looking for a job. Well for one, He’s already displaying bad hygiene with the dirt on his pants and two his outfit doesn’t say to the employer that I’m professional enough to have this job. The Employer determined that 9 times out of 10 before the job seeker even said one word. The outfit spoke and a bad first impression was made. Fashion is a lifestyle like that of music, business, and fine art. It is art that could be favored, interpreted, and made to fit anyone. Fashion brings confidence to the insecure and creativity to the closed mind. It shows the world how bold, sophisticated, and conservative a woman can be with the curves on her body or how strong, professional, or suave a man could be in his personality.
Fashion Journalism embraces these thoughts in the physical form of writing. It informs and helps people in ways such as to how their clothes speak to the world, how what they wear can give them more confidence and beauty, helps you look your best for less , helps the plus size woman find things that flatters her body , how woman could were colors that brings out her eyes and period just help make them look like a better person and feel better at the same time. So we are here to help you and at the same time live out our passion.
